Featured Review: (by laddie), I purchased the wheat colored boot at the factory store in Woodbridge, VA – the boot is comfortable and stylish. However while walking around in the boot, I noticed that when the shoe lace rings rub against the leather, it causes a squeaking sound, similar to rubbing your finger across the washed surface of a plastic container. I thought it could have been a residue left on the rings from the manufacturing process, so I wiped all of the rings with a clear isopropyl alcohol, but it did not help. Because of the crowd noise in the factory store, the squeaking sound is not apparent, but walking around at home in a quiet setting, the sound is much more noticeable. I also just received the Brown Rime I ordered online and after walking around in them, the shoe lace rings make the same sound . Overall, I think it is a great boot – I hope the issue I’ve experienced is not a wide-spread problem.

Featured Review: (by jimmyo), I’ve had my euros for four days. I was concerned that the boot felt a tad long for my natural 10.5 size feet, but that worry went away after a little research. The aim is to have at least a finger’s width of extra toe room for practical reasons… so, the fit, while just that much longer, is really ideal. The boot is great. Well constructed (from what I can tell) and handsome. Needed only about an hour to break in. I thought I’d be using these for work and rough stuff, but they’re a little too nice for that right now. I don’t want to mess them up! I think these boots are made for walking, though, and light hiking. Very comfortable, but more serious hiking would require a firmer ankle grip. I have no doubt they’ll serve well for daily use. Light and pliable, they work well with any casual outfit. I don’t know about their weather-proof characteristics, but I wouldn’t venture into water deliberately. It seems they’ll take about one to two inches of brief immersion in standing water and will do fine in rain, snow and mud. I think for the money, they’re a great investment.

Featured Review: (by Hvac Tech), Got a pair of these through the uniform supplier about 3 years ago. I beat the c r a p out of boots having to bend the toes over when bent down to work on equipment and usually break the seam apart. These have held up about 2 1/2 years longer than most and the sole separated the squeaked as I walk but still usable. Now I have to find a dealer as uniform co doesn’t do this any more.

Featured Review: (by George Eberle), These boots are very comfortable. Just what I was looking for in a pull-on winter boot. Maybe a tab of slipage in the heel but that’s to be expected with a pull-on boot, really not an issue. I have a wider than average foot and these fit perfect, I did order a half size larger than my normal size but I find this is the case with most Keens.
