Featured Review: (by Pamela Dudzik), I bought these the day before I left on a trip to the Eastern Sierras and Death Valley. I had no break in period, and they were comfortable (with my own inserts). They survived hikes in sharp as glass obsidian at Panum Crater and dry dusty desert. I didnt worry about the water at Mono Lake since they were waterproof. Very very happy with them.

Featured Review: (by Nupine), My first pair I got from the company shoe truck. I have had that pair for over two years. The cushioning is still almost as good as new. The only reason I am having to buy a new pair is that after two years of use and abuse from the factory floor to the creek bank the bottoms split. now that is not to say the shoes have lost tread they still have 50% tread on them. every day use of 10 to 14 hours just finaly wore them out. This is the very best fitting shoe and longest lasting I have ever owned. The shoe is soft light weight and not stiff like most steel toes are. the shoes fit like they were custom made for just me. Yes they look good and last a long time however the down side is they do stain. But what the heck, I never bought them for dress.

Featured Review: This is one of the best pair of shoes Ive ever owned. Ive taken them to hiking trips where they have seen rivers, mud and rocks; they are quite waterproof and wen wet they dry easily. Ive worked with this heavivly around metal gear and debris, and in construction sites, and it behaves greatly. Comfortable, FRESH! and good looking. Either for hard wear or to look good! Ive given this shoes a serious beating besides wearing them every day and they still look new!

Featured Review: (by bovine), These boots could be great, but sadly they miss the mark. Comfort, light weight and acceptable water resistance make these boots quite good for light to moderate hikes. Unfortunately after only perhaps 100 miles there is undue wear on the fabric of the toe box where it creases. The rubber at these points has also separated from the fabric. I therefore have serious reservations about the longevity of these boots.

Featured Review: (by Miki), This is a good hiking boot, but remember, it’s a MID-hiking boot…so it fits like a high top sneaker. Which is great for summer and stuff, but for deep winter snow you might want something a little higher. It is waterproof, because the only thing really mesh is on the tongue…the rest is like rubber something or other by the toes and on the sides. Fits good, really comfy! Gore-tex is awesome.

I’m so glad I did – they took me comfortably through 5 days of hiking in all kinds of terrain and didn’t cause so much as a single blister right out of the box. Timberland shoes and boots seem made for feet like mine; the sizing is usually spot-on, the width is great, and the durability and comfort are much better than I’ve found in any other brand. These shoes may not be the prettiest, but they really take you where you want to go, and Timberland does make other really stylish boots for less sporty occasions. Thanks for the awesome hiking shoes, Timberland!
