Featured Review: (by Andreino), My girlfriend bought me these boots last month after my Merrells (which I had for 6 years)finally bit the dust. I never really cared for Timberland, but figured for [$] they gotta be good…WRONG!These boots are not warm at all. My feet are freezing after being out on 1 inch of slush/snow for under an hour! Waterproof?…Gortex?…Really? I even bought the stupid protective spray and my feet still got wet. They also feel to high on the ankle and the laces are constantly undoing themselves. They simply feel cheaply made. If I can return them and get my girlfriend’s money back, I will! Trust me…spare yourself the aggravation and go buy some real boots, like Merrells or whatever else REAL places like […], […] sell.

I’ve been wearing them for about 1 month now and I have to say that they ft my wide feet very well. Just comfortable, stable and lightweight! The reason why I bought these shoes is because I have a snowshoe-hike in feb but I just didn’t want to buy only winter hiking shoes so i decided to go for hiking boots with gore tex. I’ve been on some hikes with 20” deep snow and I have dry feet, no snow and water is coming in. I normally have really sweaty feet but I guess these boots let them breathe. So far 5 stars, I don’t know anything about durability.
These boots are not dry or warm. I’ve been wearing them for a couple months in a new England winter just around town and shoveling my drive way. My 30 dollar walmart boots are wamrer and drier. There must be the least amount of gor tex in here possible to stil claim gore tex. My feet are wet after about 15 minutes outside in any snow or slush. No Joke, I have 3 other pairs of boots that are all less expensive than these and much warmer and my feet stay drier.
This is a great boot right out of the box. Very comfortable and supportive for long hiking – particularly over rough terrain. These probably are not great for deep snow or sloshing through standing water. But, then there are other products made for that. For support over a strenuous trail, these are great boots.
I bought these boots a few weeks ago and have hiked in them every weekend. The gortex is awesome, it lets my feet breathe and stay dry. They have held up great during my easy trail walks and the harder 4000 ft mountain hikes. This is the cadillac of hiking boots and with all the cool features in it its a must have!
