Like all of the other KEEN® style, these boots also come with KEEN® Patented Toe Protection which has the front outsole of the shoes extended and wrapped on the front to keep your toes protected. The upper is made from the leather which is fully grained and waterproof. The upper has the full length laces on the top to allow secure and customized fit. The lining is made from the faux shearling which provides softness, comfort and keeps the foot warm and cozy. The interior also has the KEEN®.DRY membrane which is waterproof as well and at the same time it provides breathability. The footbed is made from the EVA which is metatomical and it can be removed. This footbed provides superb comfortable with each step. The interior also has the 200 grams of the KEEN®.WARM insulation which adds more comfortable and keeps the interior warm. The lugs are 4mm high in all direction which provides additional stability and traction on snow and other slippery surfaces. The heel structure has the S3 heel support. The collar is 10.34 inches high. This shoe also has the ESS shank for torsion stability. The outsole is made from the rubber which is non-marking and durable. This outsole provides superb traction on any type of surface. Its heel is 1 ½ inches high and it weighs 24 ounces as per size 8. These boots are exactly what I was looking forward to have, warm, comfy and waterproof which provides great stability and support. They are good for icy and snowy city. If you are living in an icy area then this is the must have shoe. They have great traction and really good arch support which is a plus point. They are extremely warm and fully lined to be cozy and comfy for my legs and feet. I have bought black as it goes with everything. I have also ordered this in green as well because I think it will also look really cute. The best part of this boot is that they are water proof just like many other Keen shoes and have a beating with the rubber front which is not adorable, but at least does a good job. They are great for daily wear because they are extremely comfy and really good for long walks. I don’t like to unlace them so I have to do a bit hassle to take them on and off, but its ok , better then unlacing them again and again. I have bought this design in half size larger so that I can wear these with thick socks too. I am in love with these boots now as I travel a lot and they have proved to be my best companion. They didn’t require any break in time. They were comfortable and warm from the moment I put them on. I feel great stability and traction on any kind of terrain which is a very important and impressive point for me. I am really glad to have them. Keen is a great company and they know how to design best boots. I just wish winter would last longer so that I keep on wearing these again and again. :wub:
