I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Merrell brand slip-on shoes! More comfortable that Aasics gel running shoes. Gives me pain-free support for my heel. Since I purchased last year the same half-size as my athletic shoe, I have discovered you must go up to the next full size–not a lot of toe room if you don’t. This pair was a little more wider than expected-but it fits okay with a sock. My other Merrells have a nasty smell–but worth the trouble for the comfort.
I bought this shoe because I wanted a shoe that was warm but not a boot. They arrived today, I’ve been wearing them all day and I can’t believe how comfortable and amazing they are. I’m going to order a second pair in another color right now. They are everything I imagined and more! Agree that you can’t wear a heavy sock with them though…but you don’t need to because of the warm fur lining.
I was suffering some plantar fasciitis heel pain and was looking for a comfortable replacement for my old slippers. I was afraid this style might be too warm, but they are fine. They give the support, are warm and cozy. I find Merrell shoes the most comfortable for my feet, and these did not disappoint.
TOO GOOD!! I have severe bunions problems and even after the surgery I just cannot wear too many shoes. I have to be very particular with the shoe selection. The Merrell Encore Ice brand is one of the best I have found so far. It has a certain kind of a built in cushion surrounding my bunions. I have experienced such a relief after buying this shoe as it has provided me with complete comfort and support. The inner sole is very durable even after so many washes. I have these from the last six months and I am quite satisfied. They very well worth the price. I have these in dark blue shade and I am planning to gift these to my mom as well because she is very old and weak and I know one thing that this shoe is going to provide her with the best ever. I am in love with these and I am sure that she will also love them. They have a good stability and provide ultimate comfort and support. You will also wish to wear them again and again after using them for once. They have changed my life forever. I can also walk for miles now thanks to Merrell. This was my first pair by this brand and definitely not the last one. I will purchase more and more of this brand now as they have offered complete comfort to my feet. Have just bought 2 of the Encore Ice Merrells…one to replace the encore chill that bought last year and have literally worn out with so much wear. The new ones are as comfortable as the old ones and feel so good in < 40 degree temps. Extremely satisfied with all the Merrells have bought in the last 5 years. Have bilateral poorly repaired bunions and these shoes mold to my feet and allow much more comfortable walking.
Merrell’s “fur” lined shoes are the only shoes I wear in the winter due to cold feet. They are great for casual wear, but I also wear with dress pants & they blend well & are not bulky. I do find these to be running about 1/2 size larger than in past years; I do not have wide feet, so I wear them with an insole (I have a high arch)& they fit perfectly then. I should also mention how lightweight they are compared to other winter type shoes.
Three years ago I bought similar Merrell shoes in black smooth leather, which are not worn out and now I needed brown. I have high arches and my feet also get cold easily and cramp. These shoes are the most comfortable I have ever worn and are easy off/on. Also, I do have to replace the insoles occasionally since I wear them almost constantly. The only shoes more comfortable are my bedroom slippers! The Merrell quality is unmatched and the leather truly resists scuffs, rocks, mud and dog chews.
This shoe is definitely great during the winter. It keeps your foot warm and it’s really comfortable. Only downfall is that it fits a bit larger than your regular size. I tried a 1/2 size down but was afraid that might be too snug w/a sock so exchanged it back for my normal size and it’s a little too big. I’d get the 1/2 size smaller than your normal size.
This is actually my third pair of Merrell Encores – first I bought black, then burgundy, then the grey. They are comfortable, warm and very sturdy. I bought these to wear on vacation to South America and on board an expedition cruise – they were very comfortable for the two straight weeks I wore them.
Love them! Functional, warm and pretty, these shoes do not flip flop like some slip-ons. They are surprisingly supportive. I always refrained from purchasing Merrell because most of their shoes do not come in wide styles, so I bought a half size larger and am not disappointed.
This is my 3rd pair of Merrells (my first pair of the Encore Ice) and they are the most comfortable shoes I own. I can walk with my dog for many blocks, my feet stay warm, and I suffer no pain or discomfort from walking on pavement. I suffered an ankle fracture earlier this year, and so having stable comfortable shoes is extremely important to me. Not to mention, the purple color I ordered is just beautiful (it’s a dark, rich purple. Not quite eggplant but close).

First, I love Merrells and they are my favorite shoes. I bought these to wear at work–an elementary school where I am a Speech Pathologist and am constantly walking the halls. We get a lot of snow here and often the building is cold. These are perfect, they keep my feet toasty warm and have a great sole that I can wear outside on the icy sidewalks and steps if need be. They are warm without being hot, stylish, and I love the color, that was the most difficult part when I purchased them–so many great colors to choose from. I picked the red and that is perfect for winter.
The shoe is very comfortable just like all the Merrell shoes I have ever owned. The fleece lining makes the shoe look a little “bulky” but it certainly keeps feet warm and comfy. If you are looking for comfort, Merrell shoes are the best. They aren’t the most stylish but they are the most comfortable.
I have gotten a lot of compliments on it. It is extremely comfortable. It keeps my feet warm. It is easy to slip on and off. I use it for cold drier days. I read reviews about the fur slipping around. The first day the fur moved, but once I had worn it, it seemed to settle into place and it has never happened again. I got them in a purplish color. It is pretty and actually goes with a lot. I highly recommend this one.
I bought these in smooth bug brown in a size 6.5 (I usually wear a size 6.5 – 7). They feel very plush and comfortable. However, my feet are pretty much regular to narrow, and they seemed to run large. As soon as I pulled them out of the box, I could tell that they looked quite long for the size. Upon trying them on, they were large for me both in width and length. So, I exchanged them for half size smaller (size 6) and now they fit perfectly and feel very cushy and supportive (for a mule/clog).
I love this shoe. This is my forth pair. I wear them all winter, I have them in 4 different colors. Most importantly, they are warm, comfortable, they have wonderful support, I can wear them from morning until night and they feel great. I would say, try them. They are the greatest buy and worth every penny.
LOVELY CLOGS!! I think that they are the most comfortable clogs I have worn so far. I have foot problems so my first preference is to buy comfortable shoes. I don’t care about the looks much. These clogs are not that stylish they are simple looking but they are very sophisticated and extremely comfortable which is what I wanted. These casual shoes can be worn with anything and with any kind of dress. You will love to wear them all day long once you put these on. They are very durable too and the best part is that they are easy to slip on. I wear these sometimes with socks and sometimes even without it because they never make my feet sweat. It’s a lovely clog. I have always loved to wear Merrell shoes. I have plenty of shoes by this brand and they are all lovely. This is another great creation by Merrell. I would love to see more and more shoes by Merrell.
