I work as a bartender and have been searching for a shoe like this one. These water proof and slip resistant shoes have served me the best. I am a great fan of Merrell so I thought to give these a try as they fit the criteria. I read many related reviews and they all said that it is the best shoe. I purchased these finally and I must say that I am completely satisfied with these shoes. They worth each and every penny. I won’t say that they don’t require any break in time. I got a blister on the first day of wearing these. They got better and better the more I wore them and finally after 7 shifts they got very comfortable. I consider them the most comfortable working shoe which I have ever own and they are the only one who keep my feet dry the whole time. I would recommend these to all the people who are related to the restaurant industry.
I think these shoes are not the same one as they used to be. The price is the same but the quality is not what I had experienced. It is not as good as it used to be. I felt that these shoes are uncomfortable and cheap looking this time. I bought the same shoe about a year ago and I fell in love with them , but these are a complete contrast to that one. I was looking forward to a new pair and unfortunately these are not up to the mark. This shoe is a big disappointment as they are uncomfortable. Comfort and style both have no equal in a similar price range. The construction is terrible. It doesn’t look like a Merrell shoe. I have many pairs by Merrell and all of them are too good, but this one has really disappointed me. I wish to throw them away. Both shoes have come unglued on the edge on both sides of the toe box. The upper is glued to the sole with such a slim bit of leather that it cannot hold up which is really annoying. I still kept these because I thought that they might stretch and become comfy but I was totally wrong. After the use of 4 to 5 months they have completely come apart. I am really sad to see that the construction is so poor and I have spend so much on these. The leather of the shoe also wrinkled immediately though so it was only a little while before it started to look worn out. I have been wearing these shoes for work and they are were really comfy don’t know what has done with the new ones . I will never ever buy these shoes again.
