Featured Review: (by Joe), This sandal is great. Wear them when hiking or just meandering. Comfortable and cool. The only problem that I have is that they do not have padding on strap that goes across top of ankle (top of foot). The rest is padded just fine, except this one strap. This causes strap to cut into my foot a little after long wear. If padding was there I would give 5 stars. I had a pair of similar sandals by timberland made back in 1991 or there abouts and they were perfect. They lasted me 20 years and would have lasted longer if the dog didn’t chew them up. I am hoping these will last me just as long. But I will have to find a leather worker to add some padding to that strap. If you guys make next year’s model with padding on all straps then I might just pick up that one. But otherwise this is a great sandal.
This is my 3rd pair of Sheringtons. You changed the angle of the instep strap so it rides higher on the instep (more vertical), resulting in the bottom edge of the strap not coming in contact with my foot and the top edge of the strap digging into my foot.The 2 previous pairs fit fine. They were purchased retail in Raleigh, NC. I couldn’t find any retail here this time so I ordered these direct, order #8949252597, dated 7/25/2011. Style# is 38526, as was the last pair.I will keep these for now, but please have someone look into this to determine if there was a conscious design change
