The outsole is made from the polyurethane which is very durable and flexible. This outsole keeps the overall weight of the shoe less and provides traction and shock absorption. I purchased another set of these because they last. I work in the service industry and can be on my feet for 12 hours a day, outdoors working on equipment, in all types of weather. In Nebraska the temps get below zero and windchill can be well below(ie 20+ below). These boots keep me warm and are comfortable while crouched and working. I have had 3 pair and the only things that wear out are the tread, the uppers stay in excellent shape. The treads work so well I don’t consider this a problem.
I bought my first pair of ecco boots in Ireland 10 years ago I wore them constantly through boggy paddocks and rocky roads. After 10 years the soles finally wore out on the drought stricken Australian landscape of this Cattle property where I now live. These Ecco Boots seem just as comfortable and I’m sure will see me through another 10 years.
This is probably the 5th pair of these boots that I have purchased. I work in the construction industry and having a good pair of work boots is a must. This by far is the best feeling boots I have ever owned. The only dislike I have is the cleats on the bottom that mud gets stuck in between.
I had bought exactly the same shoe in winter of 1997 while living in Toronto, Canada. And I still have it, although it is due for a replacement. The shipment arrived and it is the same as the one I had, except that the sole in the one I had bought in Toronto indicated that it was made in Portugal. Hopefully this new pair will keep me warm during winter for another decade!
This is my tenth pair of this exact same shoe. They fit perfectly right out of the box, every time I buy a new pair every fifteen months or so after wearing them out by wearing them at my restaurant cooking job 12 to 15 hours most days, and also on my thrice weekly eight mile road hikes.
I’m impressed with the quality of the leather and the workmanship. When you put them on and wear them you’re more than impressed, you know you made the right choice. I’ve been wearing these to work with jeans and for weekend outings and the comfort is unbeatable. There’s plenty of room in the toe box and yet the heel fits snugly. I’m buying more Ecco shoes. This is what I’ve been looking for.
This is my first Ecco shoe. I was persuaded by all the wonderful reviews I’ve read on just about every shoe site. I’ve had these Ecco Track II boots for about a month now and I’m in love with them. They’re so unbelievably comfortable yet also rugged and tough. I’ve already worn them through several storms – several inches of rain and nearly two feet of snow – and my feet have stayed dry and warm throughout. On top of that, the boots look great too!
