They are easy to wear with pull-on construction. The footbed is well cushioned for maximum comfort. The leather heel is stacked and has tap with rubber. The outsole is made from leather for durability. Its heel is ¾ inches high with 16 inches of shaft and 16 inches of circumference. it weighs 20.20 ounces (as per size 7). I was so excited to get these in dark brown, and so disappointed :cwy: when they arrived. Don’t get me wrong- the boot is beautiful. Love that it’s lined in leather, although yes sole is thin and there is no foot support :angry: . But the boot is beautifully styled and made. However, I have athletic calves (15″), and the minute I pulled these out of the box I knew they wouldn’t fit. There’s no way the calf circumference is 16″, although this may also be the measurement of the opening of the shaft, where as the widest point of my calf is mid-calf. I couldn’t pull the shaft completely straight so it scrunched up, and was painfully tight. The extra flap of leather didn’t stick out too much though, and I don’t think it made my leg look wider :sick: . I wear a 6.5 and the foot fit perfectly- not narrow or tight at all. Roomy but not too big. My feet are on the wider side. I love the look of these boots and love the dip in the back. I so wish they would have worked! I’m wondering if the shaft of the 7s would fit better, but then the foot would be too big, but insoles might solve that. Anyways, these are gorgeous and Zappos service is so terrific that they’re worth a try.
These boots are fantastic. Very well made and deserves the price. I have read a lot about sizing and ordering it in one size down. I have wider feet so I normally order half size up when it comes to boots, so my experience says that they run true to my size. My feet could never pass the ankle side if I would have gone half size down. My calves are bigger and therefore they fit perfectly. You don’t need to have chicken legs to get into this boot. The front flap adds a certain element which makes it look masculine for a while but I am in love with it now as I am getting complements on these all the time. It is water proof. I have been traveling all over North America and I wore these daily for 30 days and my feet could never be more happier :wub: . I have it in black so I could wear it with any dress. I am really happy to have it in this color as it goes with everything. A nice boot overall.
Have 2 Pair!! Loved these boots. Bought first pair 3 years ago & they kept my feet warm & dry. I bought another pair this year & retired my old pair for farm boots. The old pair are still keeping my feet warm & dry out in the barn, mucking stalls & trudging through snow all day long. I have the cleaner & conditioner, and use it annually before winter use. Highly, highly recommend these boots for those of you who are looking for a cute boot that will keep your feet WARM all winter long.
