It has protection at the toe area. The footbed is well cushioned and has leather lining to keep the foot fresh. The outsole is made from rubber which provides traction and smooth ride. It weighs 8 ounces (as per size 6.5). It can be found in these colors: Sandy, Port Royale, Coffee Liquer, Black and Bayou.
I ordered these because I bought my first pair of keen sandals two years ago and absolutely would not take them off all season. They were comfy and supportive and now that I have worn them for 2 seasons,I wanted to try another pair and these are just as good if not better.

I love Keen shoes, have the newports for all around wear. The Calistoga sandals fit much the same but are trimmer, something that looks better with capris amd skirts. They feel great, and look great too. I bought black, and think I might get another color, too.

This is my second pair of this same Keen sandal. It fits my foot perfectly, and I love the toe protection! I’m sloppy, so it’s easy to clean this sandal, too, with just plain water and a clean cloth. Looks like new all over again.

I think I would have really liked this shoe, I bought a size 9 which is my size, however, my Toes did not reach forward enough and my Heel was at the back where it should be. With the slots in the shoe, it showed my Toes and the shoe looked too big. The width was good and I have a very wide foot, anyone with a narrow foot should not order this shoe.

Originally bought the coffee color, loved them so much I just purchased the black. I wear to work in the summer – these are a little more “dressy” than all my other Keens. Wear them to work with linen capris, skirts etc.) I get tons of compliments when I wear these. Very comfortable, as are my other 10 pairs of Keen.

I was so happy to finally find a Keen shoe/sandal in a size 5. Wish all shoes started there.Small people need shoes too! The sandal is a little wider than I’d hoped it would be, but certainly wearable. I really like that it is machine washable.

It’s an extremely comfortable sandal. The sole is cushiony and it’s similar to wearing sneakers. The upper is a bit inflexible. The left shoe fits perfectly but the fit on the right is just a tiny bit off. So much so that extended wear leads to minor bruising and soreness on the top of my foot. I bought them to wear when I want to be a little bit more dressy but not have to wear heels.

I liked this Keen but since these are leather straps, they did require just a bit more breaking in than the mesh ones. Love the footbed as it stays much fresher than the rubber ones. Still very cushioned and very comfortable for a mule. For serious walking/hiking would still buy full sandal.

This is the only slide type sandal that I have been able to find that had an enclosed toe cap. I no longer wanted open toe sandals, but still wanted to enjoy a stylish sandal! These Keens filled the bill. Not only are they comfortable but stylish too. I hope they keep them around for another season so that I can order another pair in the spring for next year.

I bought the shoes to use at the beach this winter. They are very attractive – love the color. I bought a half size smaller than I normally wear since these are slip on shoes. They do need some break in time – Got a small blister on the top of my foot on the arch area. Otherwise they are quite comfortable

I was looking for a comfy shoe to take on a trip where I’d be walking a lot. I thought these would fit the bill. While cute, they weren’t as comfy as I expected, like my other Keens. They also make that flopping sound against the heel which can be annoying.

I had chosen this sandal because of the specs indicating there was a removable footbed. This was important to me because of the need to use an orthotic under the footbed. I was dismayed when they arrived to find the footbed attached thus requiring my need to return the shoes. Thank goodness for Shoebuy’s return policy.

I was looking for a comfortable casual sandal that I could just slip on and that I could wear year-round. This was it! I’ve received many compliments and it’s performed exactly to my satisfaction. I highly recommend this shoe! It loves my feet and my feet love it!
