Featured Review: (Paul the Deckhand), These boots seem rugged and durable, although, I can’t say for sure. I’ve only had them a couple weeks. All I know is, my feet hurt so bad I can barely walk. I work on a tow boat and nothing is more miserable than being stuck out there with a bad pair of boots. My company purchased these for me. I’ve always heard about how comfortable Timberlands were, so these are the boots I chose. The rest of my crew mates got Justin boots (made in USA). I asked them today if their feet were killing them. All of them said “no”. They were just as comfortable as could be. I’m going to have to take these things back to the crew services department and see if they can order me some boots that won’t cripple me. Thanks, Timberland…for making me suffer horribly.

I operate heavy equipment in all types of weather and will NEVER buy another pair of [$] junk! I bought these boots just before Christmas and now Feb 28 the sole is cracked, the leather is cracked so they are no longer water proof, the heal is worn out inside the boot and they do not breathe at all! This is the third pair of Pros I have owned and the life of the boot has gotten shorter and shorter. DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY LIKE I DID!!!

  2. Love my boots says:

I wear my powerwelts in an automotive shop on cement floors all day, also on and off scaffolding climbing and such. They did how ever start to crack on the soles from kneeling bending the toes… So I called ther customer service, sent them in they sent me a new pair!

  3. Worktested says:

I had these boots for about 6 to 7 months working at a steel factory. The leather was very durable. BUT the sole developed huge cracks in it and started coming apart. There is no way i would buy this boot again. Its comfy but not worth the money when you can buy a stitched solid rubber sole boot and get 3 or 4 times the wear out of them.

I’ve been in the food & beverage industry for over 10yrs and these are the worst boots i’ve owned. I expect a GOOD WORK BOOT to last about 1yr in my line of work due to the stress we put them through. This one only lasted 4months (?). The waterproof membrane started falling apart and cracked open allowing water in. So much for the waterproof feature. For the price I expected more. I wouldnt have taken the time to write a review if the boot was under $50 because you usually get what you pay for. Not this time.

Am a photojournalist and on my feet all day. Comfortable and durable footwear is very important. Had some bad luck with last two pairs of Vasque Boots, thought I would try Timberland Pro. Power Welts didn’t make it 30 days before soles began to delaminate. Sad!

I’ve had these boots about 4 months and the bottom soles are worn down very bad. The sides have seprated from the sole on the right outter boot. The top of the boot on the right toe area has ripped open, for my line of work these are not the boots to wear. I stand in weak acid and water throughout the day. Its not a lot but its enough to cause these boots to only last 3 months tops.

    Pros: Good Cushioning, Stable, Stylish

    Cons: Wear Out Quickly

First of all I work construction, kick a shovel for a good portion of the day, and am in all sorts of rough environments. I bought these books because I loved a previous Timberland Pros I owned, and thought these looked good. The old ones were the $100 or $110 black Timb Pros, they were very durable, waterproof, comfortable, and lasted two years. These new boots did not hold up at all…the soles are too soft, the inserts are too soft, and their claim to be waterproof is a joke. They have only lasted about 6 months, the soles are cracked and the inserts are full of holes. I wish there was a warranty or some way to get my money back, because these boots were [$]. Very disappointed Timberland.

My first pair lasted me 4 months before the sole split at the ball of the foot on both feet. When I returned them they told me they usually last 9-10 months before any problems. They replaced them free of charge and the second pair has lasted me now 5 months and the inside of the heel is now worn through and the leather is now spliting at the side from the exterior coating cracking. They do keep your feet dry but they don’t breath so your feet get soaked with sweat and I have to change socks at least once a day to stay comfortable. I’m used to Doc Martins lasting me for two to three years for the same price.. I’m going back.
