The foot bed also has the NIKE AIR® technology which is low profile and enhances the comfort for long time wearing. Its outsole is made from rubber which provides durability and traction. The wedge style heel is 3 inches high and it is wrapped with the leather. I primarily purchased the shoe because I had undergone recent toe surgery and I needed an adjustable shoe/sandal to accommodate the swelling of my feet. However, I will get much use from this very attractive sandal during the summer months and around the pool. I really like the style, appearance, and how this sandal was constructed, and I highly recommend it to others.
This is the only sandal or shoe that provides me with a perfectly fitting and supportive sole, preventing pronation and all that accompanies it, such as, swollen ankles, shins & knee and hip problems. The open design also allows great comfort for my baby hammer toes. I would be devastated if Cole Haan discontinued this particular style. I wish they would make a slip-on shoes with the exact same foot bed. This shoe is a classic design.
