Featured Review: (by Karen), I said this runs a half size larger than marked, but since there were no half sizes, rather than ordering up as I’d think you would, I ordered down, after talking to a Merrell shoe rep. So, order down if you’re a half size. If you have “tricky” feet, Merrells can be great. I’m a bit flatfooted and these don’t have arches that stab into me, but they’re nicely supportive. These sandals are a good combo between comfortable and attractive. They have a bit of a heel, just enough to give the shoe a nice shape. They have a really good feeling in the sole. I can’t explain it, but it’s really very comfortable. I wear them to work, with slacks, mostly. I’m a professor and like feeling comfortable when I’m up to write on the blackboard, etc. They look professional enough, not over-sporty. I got a black pair and liked them so much I’ve ordered a second pair in the mahogany.

These shoes only come in whole sizes but the 9 fits anyway -just a tiny bit too big for my 8.5 foot. They are very comfortable – I wanted a stylish sandal but all I could find were thin cardboard soles which just don’t work for us women over 35! These aren’t that fancy but they at least don’t look like grandma shoes. Also they appear well made.
I bought these to wear in Europe instead of having to wear sneakers the whole trip. I haven’t worn them a lot yet, but so far they’re really comfortable! The bottom sole is a little sticky to your feet. Also, I normally wear a 7.5 and was not sure if I should pick a 7 or an 8, so I found them at a local store and the 8 was too big, the 7 fit me just right.
