Featured Review: (Barbosa), I always size down for Timberland, but these seem to be big even accounting for the usual Timberland size differences, so beware. I’d probably return and get a half size down, if they made this boot in half sizes, because my 9 feels like a 9.5. But I suspect an 8 would be too small. (btw: matching them up, sole-to-sole with a pair of Earthkeeper boots, they appear to be the same size, so perhaps the difference is in the width after all–whatever the cause, my heel slips a bit when walking). Anyway, chose to spend the extra money to get the high-end model (as opposed to the $100-$140 similar shoe/boot in the “Earthkeeper” line), and I’m hoping it’s worth the difference. They seem right out of the box to be a step up. Interior here is fully leather (vs on my Earthkeepers, where it’s mostly leather backed with some sort of cloth). The pre-distressed look and feel might be a little overdone, as even the shoebox has been made to look rustic and worn. The rubber parts of the sole are almost comically pre-worn looking. This shouldn’t be a surprise … as advertised, basically. And they seem like they’re well crafted. I’m quite happy with them overall, and I’d say (for those shopping online) that they’re just about what you’d expect from the website info!

I love these boots but they do fit large. I own two other pair of Timberland footwear and both are a size 10. I ordered this boot in a 10 online so I didn’t get to try it on. It seems quite large to me. I think I would go a full size smaller if I ordered another pair. I wanted to wear them right away and I only plan to wear them on special occasions so I didn’t send them back.
i bought this shoe-boot for everyday wear with dark suits. As it only comes in a tan suede, i had them stained black at a local shoe shop, Raggo Bros. in Morristown, NJ. They look great. I have a narow, flat foot and use a custom orthotic. The fit is roomy for me so i added cushoning and the fit is comfortable and supportive. Timberland should make this one in black.
