I have never owned any shoe with Gore-Tex materials before, but living in the Pacific Northwest I had to look for a good water proof shoe. It was a tie between the Gore-Tex or the regular waterproof shoe and I consulted this brand to know the difference between these two and which one is best for my kind of feet. I was told that they both are equal but the Gore-Tex version may keep you a smidge cooler when temps rose, so I thought of purchasing these. once they arrived at my door steps I wore them with socks which I normally wear that and thin and short and they were just perfect. My toes were not squished and there weren’t a lot of space to make my feet loose. I also purchased the regular Siren Sports and these are definitely much more padded and cushy. I have bought these in red and brown color and also in the combination of gray and light blue. These shoes are both very comfy and stylish. I have walked on hard floor in these and also on carpet and tiles and they were simply amazing. The only complaint about this shoe is that as you walk they make a plastic crinkling sound. I think that it is in Gore-Tex as the waterproof version doesn’t make the same sound. I contact to Merrell once again and they didn’t know what I was talking about and said that it will probably go away when I will spend more time in these. They also recommend me to buy Nikwax after using these for a longer period of time just to extend and protect the water proof Gore-Tex material. Overall it’s a good shoe to purchase.

This is my first pair by Merrell and unfortunately I have to return or exchange them. My size is 10 and half and with a moderately wide feet, so finding a nice shoe in women size is sometimes very challenging task for me. I bought these shoes in size 11 and at first they felt really good. However after an hour ( as I was trying them on and walking around home) my feet were feeling cramped and at the point even light walking began to feel very uncomfy. I started looking at the reviews, which I should have consulted before ordering this shoe. I came to know after reading the reviews that most of them were of the opinion that the model runs small. I have tried the regular siren Sport in a store and the fit was just perfect. I never knew that Gore-Tex will be that different from the regular one. I am now giving them back for an exchange with the larger width and if it will not work then these beauties will go back forever. I will for another shoe then. I really want to keep these shoes so keeping my fingers crossed.
