Featured Review: (by elevenss), I wear a size 15M and Timberland has many styles in that size! These particular shoes fit great right from the first time I tried them on. Many makers are too short and cramp my toes. There was just the right amount of toe room in these – absolutely necessary for down hill portions of hiking. Very nice fit through the mid portion, arch and heal portions – no area was either too tight or too lose. The medium width was a very true fit. Wore them on a weekend backpacking / hiking (15mi+) outing. Comfort was fabulous – never had a better feeling pair of shoes! The tread was secure on rocks. I even wore them a day without socks and they were still very comfortable. I prefer low tops for cooler fit – these shoes were also very reasonably priced especially for a steel toe. Seem well made with good traction cleats and leather upper. I am private customer, and not a spokesman for the maker nor vendor.

I commute to work by walking. It amounts to 1.5-2hrs a day, so I’m very appreciative of the support inside this shoe. The durability is quite good. I love that the laces don’t have to go through metal fittings that wear out the laces. I bought them last fall and worn them all winter and they are still in good shape. My only wish for your next design of these boots is the mesh fabric outside on the upper inside just under the inside ankle has worn out and torn. If the leather went up a little further there, these would be the perfect boots.
I work on a production line in a glass factory. So I must have steel toed shoes, most of which are very heavy and clunky. These are not, up until I bought these the 1st thing I wanted to do after work, was take my boots off! Now I work 8 to 10 hrs and do my shopping after work with my boots still on. My only complaint is that I can’t find them in stores anymore. I’ve had these for about 3 yrs. now and they’re still just as comfortable as ever.
Used for work and it fit and looks nice. It did start to make the bottoms of my feet hurt after a few 12 hour days. But at that rate of standing, probably most shoes would. I like the option of a steel toe in a shoe without having to have a boot.
I am down on my knees alot on rough roofing material and wear the toe protectors out first. Wish that was a bit more durable. Have had 4 pairs of these. They have lasted the best of any shoe I have had in 20 years of HVAC work.
Timberland pros have been the best boots i have ever bought. I use to buy the cheap boots but i found myself buying 2 or 3 pairs a year so i decided to buy a more reliable expensive brand. I spent the money and i am completely satisfyed with the results. I have had the Men’s Powerwelt 6 Inch Steel Toe Waterproof Workboot for 2 years now and there are still great.
My coworker and I have each gone through 3 pairs of these shoes. We do a lot of walking and climbing at work. They very comfortable once they are broken-in. They are lasting about 12 to 18 months before wearing out.
I have owned other timberland boots in the past, so i thought i was getting a comfortable pair of shoes for work. Boy was i wrong, this are the most uncomfortable pair of shoes i have ever owned. There is no cushioning, so if you work on hard surfaces all day i would not buy these shoes.
