Featured Review: (by N8G8s), I honestly have to say that this is the worst boot i have ever bought from Timberland. I am a truck driver and sit my truck most of the time. I have owned Timberland work shoes for many years with most of thier boots lasting me at least 3 yrs. I also have them as my normal shoes(non -working). My wife bought me these for x-mass this year(dec 2009) and it is now may 2010 and the lace area has completely come unraveled, the sole is peeling off the shoe, and the lace loops are pulling apart and all of this without being cut or damaged. Most of my boots when i have to replace them, it is because i walk the tread off the bottom, not because they come apart. I would put the quality of this boot below that of any other brand i have ever used, i would highly recomend not getting this boot, try another as I am doing after this review is done.

This would be a great product if it held up better! I work 12 hour shifts and was happy when i didnt have to worry about any break-in period. these shoes were comfortable right out of the box. However durability is an issue that needs to be addressed. One of my boots is holding up fine, the other one is not. The sole is literally shredding, and the fabric on the side is pulling out/ripping. I expected them to last longer(or at least wear evenly).Ive only had them a few months. This is also not my first pair of timberland boots.
The stitching came unraveled near the laces on the left boot – and began unravelling on the right boot – after only a couple months of mild use. Luckily the Timberland customer service is helpful & is sending me a replacement pair. Hopefully the replacement pair lasts longer than the original pair I purchased.
Bought these boots only about 12 months ago, and they’re already toast. The outsole on the right one has failed to the point that I can stick two fingers through to the inside of the boot. Disappointing because these boots are so comfortable. I know they’re the cheapest steel toes from Timberland, but I was hoping they’d last a little longer than a year.
Got these the first day I got on the job site. Laces broke through the lacing “hoops” in about 2.5 months. [$] boots should last longer than this. These also took forever to break in, my feet hurt in these boots for weeks. I work 12 hour days and they should have broken in in under a week, instead about a month and a half later they finally started to be more comfortable.
Bought 2 pairs of these 6 years ago. I used to wear only Hi-Techs and I’ve found these outlast them. I use them for my E-line job in the oilfield, hunting, fishing, back packing, work around the house and pretty much every day. Just got back from a conoe trip with the BSA in Arkansas where I wore these wet for 5 days. I still have both pairs and have not experienced any problems with them. I’ve worn the treads down on one of the pairs and will be buying another pair.
