The EVA midsole is molded with compression to provide maximum comfort. The elastic and Cord Lock fastener system allow a perfect personalized fit. The upper also has pull tabs which are 3M reflective and it enhances the visibility at night time. Just like most of Keen styles, this one also comes with toe protection. The EVA footbed is offers not only best comfort but also AntiMicrobial system which eliminate odor and wicks the moist away. It weighs 11 ounces (as per size 6.5). It can be found in these colors: Aegean Blue/Stone Grey, Baroque Rose/Shitake, Air Blue/Seed Pearl, Nectarine/Peppercorn, Mimosa/Oil Green, Caribbean Sea/Dark Shadow and Carmelite.
It is the perfect open shoe for a Diabetic due to the closed toe. They are well built and should last a long time.
Had them for a few weeks now and I like them. I normally wear 10.5 and after reading reviews I went with 10. 10 fits well but still seems a tad loose where the heel strap hits. They slip on rather easily and the bungee style lacing is nice.They breathe well, obviously better than regular shoes, but my feet still get sweaty if I wear them for a long period of time. Now they’re starting to develop a stench. I’m starting to like the way they look more than when I first bought them. I originally bought them for summer backpacking trips but I still haven’t tested them out on the trail. I did get a chance to walk through a creek in them and they did well, good traction, etc. They dried very fast. Hopefully they provide enough support for hiking and don’t give me blisters. Even if they do, I still like them just to have for wearing in the yard and around town.
I love the shoe. The only complaint I have is they are REALLY heavy! Oh well, my legs could use the extra workout. They are making the new Keen a lot lighter but I have to say, the pair I bought are TANKS but REALLY comfortable.
I bought the sandal because I thought it was attractive. My husband who wears a size 14 put it on and has not taken it off since (almost)!
I’ve had these sandals for 3 weeks and they are already my favorite shoe – I wear them daily. I walk 3-5 miles every day and typically wear running shoes for support and comfort. They required no break-in time. I can also wear them while playing basketball with the kids – the support and fit are adequate. I’ve also been pleased to note that they have not developed a bad odor… it has only been 3 weeks, but they have received a lot of sweaty use and they still smell nice
I love this sandal. Needed a rugged sandal for a cruise we took in March. Felt comfortable right out of the box. No break-in period required. No blisters whatsoever. Great arch support. Like the looks of them too. Works fine for jeans as well.
This has become my new favorite footwear. 2 days after they arrived I wore them with no socks on a 2.5 hour hike in the hills. No blisters or discomfort. Hosed them off and wore them out to a Mexican restaurant for dinner. Shipped promptly and with the 20% off code, they were a great deal too.
We have experience with the wide toe box of Keen shoes and own several pairs between my husband and myself. The ones we purchased were a gift for our son, who will wear them as street shoes as much as for water sports such as kayaking.He will definitely seek out other Keen shoes. They are very, very comfortable and are seen more an more as street shoes rather than just for water activities, in towns and cities in our area.
Received just prior to 7 day vacation – beaches, salt water, long walks on asphalt and concrete – no problem – only advice is not to use walking in very loose sand – design fills up – but otherwise I wore them every day – felt good.

I love these sandals. I can wear them nearly 10 months out of the year. (I live in northern Ohio.) They’re extremely comfortable and I don’t have to worry about getting them wet. The lacing pattern is unique. I wish all my shoes used this system.When I first got omy shoes, I was worried that they might be slightly larger than size I needed (true-to-size), but after wearing them for a few hours in the house, they broke in beautifully and fit wonderfully.
Had a pair for 2 Summers & used them in salt/fresh water and general summer use. I found they lasted at least twice as long as other sandals I have previously used. The toe cap is good for walking on the beach as the cap prevents most of the sand from scooping into the sandal. Good design!
Besides being comfortable, they were appropriate for everything we did. We walked under the waterfalls in Dominica and St Lucia, walked on the beaches of Barbados and St Johns, and walked around town comfortably in the shoes. They gripped well on wet rocks. Because of the design, the shoes can be widened to your comfort. However, the shoes do seem smaller than you may be used to. We do like to walk a local river in the summer. The Keens will be great for that as well!
I bought these for my husband for a spring break trip. So far, he loves them, and he has trouble finding shoes that feel comfortable. They are nice looking, comfy, versatile.
This is the third pair of Keens I have purchased for my husband. He loves them, and this pair has a nice Fall color. He finds them very comfortable and wears them every day.
I bought these for my husband to replace his summer everyday sandals. As suggested by other reviews I bought a size larger than he normally wears, and they fit great. He has flat feet, and he says the arch support in the sandals make them very comfortable.
I bought a half size larger as I had read in many locations to do this – should have stayed with my actual foot size – it’s comfortable and slips on easily – but didn’t need the extra half size larger – it put the raised portion for the arch a bit farther forward than is needed – still comfortable though and very good looking. Bought them to be used in the boat on occasion and they worked fine for this too – the leather dried nice with no ill effects. I’ve only had these for a few weeks but would definitely recommend them based on my initial impressions.
My husband has arthritis in his left ankle and can wear few types of shoes. I purchased these for him after watching and listening to our 9 year old rave about his. He likes the sporty look and comfort. These are well made and will last.
Form, fit and function exactly as I wanted. Tough and durable; but, not big and bulky.I am very satisfied with these shoes.
My brother has a pair of these shoes and likes them. I thought they were pretty ugly, but decided to try them anyway. They are very very comfortable to wear. I have worn them in the heat of summer here and found them as cool as any sandal. I have also worn them with socks in more “professional” settings. I recommend them.
I like what I bought. Frankly this is the second purchase of the same kind of shoes. The first pair, that I use, feel a half size smaller than I expected.
I purchased a pair of these just prior to leaving for the Caribbean. For me the size is accurate. Fine with socks and obviously a bit looser without socks. My wife thinks they look very sharp. They have been comfortable right out of the box, no break-in required. Mine are the charcoal color and I like the leather vs. the nylon that I already have with my two pairs of Tevas. As I was wearing them, I noticed many others wearing them on our trip. So far, so good.
I bought these for my husband who has a wide foot.Because of previous reviews I ordered a half size larger but since they don’t offer any width other than medium I had to send them back and get a full size larger than what he normally wears. He said they are one of the most comfortable shoe he’s ever had. They are great for hiking during the summer and hold up to almost any abuse you can give them.When they are dirty, just through them in the washer and they come out just like new. They look great on too.
These Keen Newport sandals are fantastic. I bought them because I already have a pair of Keen Shoes that I really like. I have problem feet with a thing called ledderhose’s disease and I need good shoes otherwise my feet get very sore. These sandals are extremely sturdy and comfortable and my feet never ache after wearing them even after walking all day. They also look good.
I bought these shoes 1 year ago. They still look new! I wear them everywhere [even to weddings] with smartcasual clothes, shorts, jeans, bathing suits. These are my second pair – the first pair are black – bought them 3 or 4 years ago – still look fairly new. They are great at airport security – off & on easily. My first pair were 1/2 size larger like they recommend but they were a little large. Second pair was my regular size and they fit perfect. In the winter I just put socks on with them.
This is my 4th pair of Keen Newports, so I obviously like them. However, this pair has two spots on the right sandal that rubbed a blister the first time I wore them. The stiching created a rough spot that I have not encountered on my other Keens. Other than that, the sandals are well made.
These are really comfortable and fantastic for all sorts of activities. My wife doesn’t like the way they look with regular shorts, but doesn’t mind them with sports shorts. In fact, she looks at me with disdain if I wear them with a collared shirt. That being said, they’re great for kayaking as they’re not affected by the water (not weighed down)and they’re great for mowing the lawn or other household chores. Thanks to the toe protection, they’ve even been used while moving furniture. Great shoes, and highly recommended!
