These boots have been designed to provide you the best performance and comfort at the same time. Their water proof construction allows you to wear them in the snow of rain as well. The upper is made from the pig suede and full grain leather which is completely waterproof. The shell is made from the TPU and it is also waterproof. The collar is padded to provide ankle protection and comfort. The tongue is bellow to keep the dirt out of the boots. The upper has the Gaiter D ring along with snow shoe strap ridge. These boots have the special membrane which makes them waterproof but it does allows breathability to keep the interior fresh. The lining is made from the fleece which is ultra-comfortable and it has been treated with the Aegis® antimicrobial solution to keep your feet protected from the moisture, bacteria and odor. The insole has the ActiveHeat™ technology along with the silver reflective film. This helps in keeping the interior and your feet warm. The interior also has the synthetic insulation which is low bulk and lightweight. This insulation is made from the 200 grams of Primaloft®. The footbed is cushiony and it has the Ortholite® anatomical treatment. This footbed also has extra cushioning at the heel to give you protection against the shock developed by heel strike. The foot frame is made from the In-Board™ EVA which is compression molded to deliver luxurious comfort and support. This foot frame has the insole made from the Grade 2 Nylon. The outsole is made from the Vibram® thermo rubber which is high quality sport rubber. This rubber provides stunning traction on every surface whether wet or dry. These shoes can withstand temperature as low are -25ºF (-32º C). Its heel is 1 ½ inches high with ½ inches high platform. The height of the platform reduces the height of the heel by ½ inches. Shoe of wonders!! These shoes are extremely comfortable and not too heavy like many other winter shoes offered by Merrell. I am a huge fan of Merrell and I know that all the shoes offered by this brand have everything positive in them. They are very comfy and cozy. I have worn these around the whole city and felt really good in these. I have walked on snow in these and never felt any coldness. I think these shoes run a bit small. This is the first time I have bought a hiking shoe, so I am not sure that this is happening to this particular shoe to it happens with others too. I think I have hit the jackpot. These shoes are so comfortable and warm that you can wear these without any hesitation. They also offer great traction. I was a bit worried about the width of the shoe as I have wide feet with bunions, but they were simply great. I am going to buy these in another color too. I have got these for winter hiking and also for snow shoeing and loving it. They are not only comfy but keep my feet feel so warm that I feel like wearing slippers on my feet. I would highly recommend these. I am in love with these boots. It keeps my feet warm in snow and also stops you from sliding on ice and slick spots. They offer a great grip and support. they are the most perfect boot ever. They are EXCELLENT!!
