I have found these shoes to be very lightweight. It is flexible like a tennis shoe which is padded in the right places for comfort. These shoes are designed with walking in mind, as heel hugs the feet, but toe box is wide enough for average feet to spread with each stride. They are comfortable right out of the box. I normally prefer wearing an 8.5, but I have ordered these in 1 size up after reading the reviews. Now I can wear these warm hiking socks as there is enough space in these. They are doing really good , but I haven’t tried them on in rain so far. I have read many reviews which says that it is totally waterproof an if they are all true then they will be waterproof as described. These shoes are very nice looking and functions well. I am more than satisfied. If you are not going to wear these with thick socks then you can order these in half size up and they will fit perfectly. This is exactly what I was looking for. They offer total comfort without any breaking in time. They have a good waterproof quality. These shoes fit fine and felt like I have been wearing these for years as they were too comfy. They are lightweight and sturdy. I am in love with these boots. I have worn these all over Peru and plan on taking them wherever I can. They offer good traction. I tried so many boots before purchasing these and they are no doubt the winner. A friend of mine has her third year in these boots and she is satisfied. They are water proof , stain resistant, warm and breathable, you can say that they have everything. I hope that they will also get me through this crazy winter. One more thing to mention is that they look great with rubber socks too. I have worn these on a service trip and they were comfortable right out of the box. Has done hiking in these too as mentioned before. I ordered many Keen and Merrell shoes and this one was the winner. The leather is of high quality and look great too. I am very pleased to have them on my feet. They are lightweight therefore I never feel the way I do in my other boots. The leather is soft and flexible and offer a good ankle support too. I would again recommend you to buy this half size up if you want to have a perfect fit. I love these. They definitely worth paying the price to get these.
