I love Merrell shoes! This is my 3rd pair and I am not disappointed. They are very comfortable, good tread, light and airy, and require NO breaking in! I also didn’t feel constrained around my ankles like some mid high hikers feel. I did discover that the Moab’s were 1/2 size smaller in length than my previous 2 pairs of Merrells (in other styles)so order this a 1/2 size larger for comfort since most people’s feet will swell a little after hiking awhile. It’s a fabulous shoe!

I do a lot of walking at work and am on my feet for 8-12 hours a day, 5 or 6 days a week. I have found that Merrell shoes don’t really need to be “broken in” because I can wear a new pair of Merrell shoes for 12 hours a day, day after day and feel no foot pain nor get blisters on my toes or feet. They don’t feel tight on my feet. My toes have plenty of room and I don’t feel like my feet are being smashed in from the sides. Merrell shoes are very comfortable and durable. I absolutely love these shoes, and wouldn’t buy any other brand to wear at work.

  3. Susan says:

I was looking for warm weather hikers and had previous good experience with Merrell, so decided to give these a try. Wow! Cushy! I walk a lot on a steep gravel driveway and it felt like I was walking on well-padded carpet in comfy, supportive slippers, until one of the fabric lace guides broke! I’ll be trying another pair, though.

I replaced a pair of boots like this with this pair and had a rude discovery. This pair runs 1/2 size smaller than the previous ones like it. After looking closely I discovered these have a slightly different toe box. I wore my size 8.5 twice and bruised my toe on a downhill hike. I had to order a 9 and sell the original pair on eBay at a loss. I have never worn a size 9 in my life–64 years! So try these on and really check the toe to avoid problems. Otherwise they’re very comfortable and great for a warm climate.
