Featured Review: (by Bartoni), I bought these as an afterthought the day before a trip to the Northern New Mexican mountains. I’m so glad I did – they took me comfortably through 5 days of hiking in all kinds of terrain and didn’t cause so much as a single blister right out of the box. Timberland shoes and boots seem made for feet like mine; the sizing is usually spot-on, the width is great, and the durability and comfort are much better than I’ve found in any other brand. These shoes may not be the prettiest, but they really take you where you want to go, and Timberland does make other really stylish boots for less sporty occasions. GREAT HIKING SHOE!! These shoes are comfortable right out of the box. These shoes could have done even better with the laces , but I like this design too. I am just back from two weeks of hiking in the muddy and rocky , steep trails and they have performed great. I am glad that I picked these up and took them with me. They really grip the trail. I especially bought these shoes for that trip and they have not let me down just like my other Timberland shoes. I am really happy to have these. These sporty looking shoes are very comfortable and made with the timberland quality and detailing which I expected from them. I also wear these shoes with my khakis and they rock. These shoes run true to size and an average width. They are not oversized in the heel or the ball of the feet. This is a great walking shoe which feel comfortable and fit on my feet really well. I put a supermarket insole in these which has provided me with great cushioning as well , but they are good even without it. I am going to get my second pair in these as they are too good and look feminine too. The only complaint is that they should have offered these in total black color too without the gray trim . I think they would look more cute this way. Overall a great shoe.
