I received Timberland hiking boots nearly identical to the “Euro Hiker” I just purchased … about 15 years ago, they were a birthday present from my mother. They felt wonderful– that first day of wear. The next morning I awoke looking forward to that great feel of “comfort and protection” that my feet experienced the day before. It was not to be, for overnight one of our dogs discovered – only what I can assume to be the familiar smell of leather not unlike any number of his rawhide toys. The entire heel-end of one of my boots was completely eaten away, the other boot….untouched. No, I did not have the dawg put to sleep! But now, nearly two decades later, I have them back. They are just as I remember them, so comfortable & insulating from the elements. Get a pair, you won’t be disappointed.
The “Hiker” has been around a while. That is why I bought again. I am, and… to this date the proud owner of the third pair within the last eitht years. Quality,fit,and style is what makes this boot stay around. I hunt, fish, camp, hike in WV. and the grip in the rough is fine with me, along with comfort and stability. As long as the quality standards stay the same, I will, with no doubt, own the 4th. pair.
I bought this shoe for my son. First of all, its very hard to find anything in a size 15! But here it was – and he has enjoyed it thoroughly. He goes to a large northern university and needed a winter shoe to keep him warm, offer support, and look good! This shoe fits all requirements
Bought this boots back in 1996! Have served me for 12 years! And through quite climbing Mount Olympus all the way to the top and back down in 24 hours in 1999. And every winter in snow, mud, even water up to my ankles! Finally last year they failed me having the upper part of the boots still in good condition, This winter I’m purchasing a new pair!
