Featured Review: (by Nick), I work in a remote environment on the shore of the Arctic Ocean in Alaska. Because of the nature of my work I constantly go in and out of buildings working indoors and outside all day. I require a boot that works well in the freezing arctic temperatures of -50 or colder, as well as one that is versatile enough to be worn indoors. All other boots I have come across have not been able to to the job. They either were over-insulated and could not be worn indoors, or they were under-insulated and would not stand up to the arctic weather. Fortunately I came across these, and they were perfect. They have all the safety features I need, such as anti-shock, -mark, -slip, -oil, puncture resistance, and steel toes, as well as the proper amount of insulation for cold I experience. These by far are the best work boots I have ever owned. If you want a good work boot, get these.

I deliver construction materials to new housing projects, and had been wearing a steel toed shoe design all summer for the comfort. When winter came, I decided to switch to boots. I never would have imagined that the comfort in these boots would match, or even exceed that of shoes, but they have. They’re extremely comfortable, I wear them for 10+ hours a day and have no fatigue, and they don’t limit my mobility at all. I have similar agility in these boots as in my casual shoes. My only gripe is that they’re not very water resistant. Trekking through several inches of snow for a couple hours and my feet would be a bit damp. I counter this by wearing thermal socks over casual socks and it at least keeps my feet warm, if not dry. Bottom line: These are by far the best steel-toes I’ve ever owned, and the first boot design that doesn’t sacrifice comfort for support

i used them for hiking and working camping and well when ever i could use what i thought was a well, fitting and comfortable boot but, what turns out the under side of the boot and the leather seperated from the boot so know i have a steal shank came though the under side of the boot so i paid 270 for a pair of boot that i see are pried alot lower online then in the store where reall made out of poor materials muchlove6996[@] if you would like to see what my boot looks like i used to love them but, not no more after six mounth

Great work boot in any wet or cold environment. The insulation is awesome and the zones are cool cause it prevents some of the discomfort of overheating feet. These boots are really comfortable too. The only downside is since its so well insulated it doesn’t breathe so it overheats fairly quickly when you’re out of the elements. I also got a large scratch on mine, not sure how, but luckily it hasn’t changed its waterproofing/insulating properties at all. I advise you to get these boots, you wont regret it. Be sure to size it a half size bigger to compensate for the insulation.

So far not so good. I bought these on a Friday afternoon, sat down Saturday morning to put on my new boots.Laced up the first one, then the second. As I tightened up the laces one of the lace hooks ripped right out of the leather. I did not even get to wear them. I am sure I got a bad pair. They will go back tomorrow for an exchange and will try again. I will write another review after I actually get some time on a pair.

I work for the Department of Transportation and these boots get worked hard. The first pair, purchased in 02/2010 like another commentor lasted about 15 minutes because the upper eyelets ripped out while being laced up. After much work it only took a month to get them replaced. The second pair have fared better but the top eyelets ripped out after a couple of months and the interior has shredded. The only good part is they are still comfortable and the soles have stayed attached, which is better than most. Worth it for the cost if you shop around but Timberland could use better Quality Control and Customer service.

I teach a GED construction to young adults and the boot is comfortable both on the Habitat for humanity jobsite and in the classroom. I must admit though, I really wanted the 22082 (my prior three pairs) or the 52562 because they were a short boot but they were out of stock for two weeks and I chose this instead.

I am a Heavy Duty mechanic. I work in all weather snow, rain, mud and so on. I wear this boots sometime for 16 hour plus a day and they are awesome and comfortable for all day. I go up and down machines and don’t have to worry about slipping. I bought these boot in May and never got them wet , now that it is raining and snowing in BC i hate these boot they get my socks wet. I worked in snow the other day for half a day and my socks were wet and then i had to finish my day with wet socks, working in the rain is worse. My co-works bought the same pair and he has no problem with them. I guess i got a bad pair. I have never had boots that leaked water in so soon after buying it. I had Cat boots and had them for 3 years before they started to leak in water. If these boots didn’t leak i would buy another pair.

I work as an HVAC installers, so these boots saw a lot of use. They are on my feet 10+ hours a day and feel great. I use them for driving, walking, climbing ladders, scaling scaffolding and occasionally a jog on flat ground or up stairs. I also wear them to walk my dogs in snowy weather, or at the acreage, for paintball or riding an ATV. Basically these are my all purpose, all terrain footwear for anything that requires something sturdier than a runner. I have never owned a pair of boots that has lasted longer than a year- these boots held up for 1 year 6 months of duty. I love this boot so much I bought a new pair (w/ thinsulate) without even considering trying another boot. I have an electrician friend who also loves this boot.

    Buy this boot!

I’m a construction worker and I’m tough on my foot wear. I wear these boots to work everyday and they work just as hard as I do. I have not tested the cold weather part of the boot yet but I’m sure I’ll get to. The boot is comfortable inside and tough as nails outside. Well there isn’t anything bad but the price is a little high (without a discount).

  10. Sparky the Electrician says:

These boots are so comfortable I literally could wear them all day. The foot bed shock absorption system is something I’ve never seen before. It’s so soft you can feel it comprese & then return to form every time you take a step, like a spring. I had plantar fasciitis for 8 months, which cause extreme heal pain & after wearing these boots for 2 weeks its gone. Don’t listen to bad reviews on these if you want happy feet these boots are the best you will find. never reviewed anything before, just felt like I had to let others know. Great product Timberland, dont ever stop making these.

  11. RR1981 says:

I purchased these boots in August of 2009. They have held up fairly well so far with some above normal wear on the tread. The comfort support system is the saving grace for these boots. I work in hvac dept. of our school district and am on my feet up and down ladders and lifts all day. The boots do not make my feet sore or cause pain in the feet but they are VERY HEAVY by the end of the day.

  12. Sid says:

I am an engineer who supervises people at a construction site, works in an office, works outdoors, and generally spends long days in these boots. I’m not the hardest user out there so they have held up good for the 12 months I have owned AND used them. The insoles need to be replaced at this point. Comfort on concrete is very good and the best of any “safety shoe” I have worn. In terms of durability, these are not going to last as long as my Lowa’s which cost twice as much. For the price paid, I have gotten my moneys worth out of them but feel a boot in this price range should hold up better then it has in my use. The durability is offset to some degree by the comfort of these boots. These are also on the cheaper end of the name brand boots (such as Red Wing) so, when compared to cheap import knock-offs they are an even better value IMHO.

  13. Chuck says:

I really think this is a fantastic pair of boots. They are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned right out of the box. They have been darn near perfect. Support, stiffness, are all supper. BUT ….. Durability is lacking they have been darn near perfect for about three months. They look like I have worn them for three years or more in the worst conditions possible. My job environment is not that extreme when compared to many other typical tradespersons. I will be back for a second pair despite the short life span. I would recommend this boot to a friend, but set their expectations.

  14. ItsMeSnitches says:

They were comfortable right out of the box. Although not waterproof, they hold up very well in a wet environment. I work with chemicals all day and the leather and stiching has held up very well. With other brands I have worn the leather usually breaks down very quickly. I will buy another pair right away when these boots are done. You cant complain about all day comfort

    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

  15. Electrician says:

These boots were great for the first couple of months. Then quickly deteriorated. After 6 months I no longer can wear them, they have no cushion or support. I only walked indoors in a clean and dry environment. They are too expensive for such a short duration of time.
