I owned my pair for one year almost and then I began to hear and feel this sound in the left sole around the ball of my foot. I have one pair of Tims with some heavy miles on them that I bought back in 2000, and they’re still going strong, so I knew this was probably a defect. (The first I’ve encountered from Timberland in nearly 2 decades I might add.) I love the boots, so I called customer service. To make a long story short, they told me to send them in, a couple of weeks before Christmas, and a brand new pair arrived at my doorstep. I love these boots, and my first experience with Timberland’s customer service was beyond excellent! Boots are warm, comfortable, and great for a night out on the town, work, or just doing stuff around the yard. You can’t go wrong with Timberland. Thanks!

I’m going to try and keep this brief, but know that I can’t summarize how much I dislike these boots. They’re uncomfortable to put on. The material is cheap. The laces are fraying and falling apart after one month of use. The “oil-resistant” tread is a joke – I feel like I’m ice-skating when I’m at work. The padding is starting to come apart near the stitching by the lace holes. I’m so dissatisfied with this boot. I’m disappointed that Timberland was “proud” to put their name on this boot – it makes me even more agitated that they have the audacity to state a company’s environmental responsibility. What about your responsibility at producing a good product so your consumers can stay loyal to the brand. Never again!

Okay, I feel the need to rectify my previous review of these boots. I had to send 2 pairs back, one after less than a week, BUT I have to give Timberland their due credit for some GREAT Customer Service and fast, no hassle replacements. This was the first time I had to use Timberland’s Customer Service in 18 years. (Pretty good track record.)I would recommend this boot if you have a backup pair to be on the safe side. I wear mine to work in an office/classroom setting, so my problem with squeaking was big to me. They did, however, stay very warm and sturdy and waterproof, and I often get compliments on them. This pair deserves more than the 2 stars I gave it the first time. If you want one really good pair of boots, save a few extra bucks and go Premium. These are great if you can avoid a “loud” pair. Great Company.

My father has a pair of these boots from 30 years ago. They are literally worn to pieces, stained, cracked, and beaten. Never owning a good pair of boots myself, I found them in the basement, laced them up and went out in a blizzard to blow snow. THEY’RE STILL WATERPROOF AFTER ALL THESE YEARS! I thought maybe I was just lucky but I’ve worn them working now for a good month and they’re toasty and dry! Today, I decided to buy my own pair and I can say just the same for them!

On my second pair. the sole cracked on the first. the hot spot is the ball of the foot. i got about two winters before they became unwearable due to deterioration. Good news is there is a life time warranty and timberland customer service is excellent. unfortunately, you can only get the same model of boot. We’ll see how the new pair hold up, but i don’t see any design changes. i may well be sending in this pair in two years.
