Featured Review: (by Carpenter)I bought these boots three months ago for work only. I’m on my feet up to 16 hours during work. I work mainly inside as a carpenter and stagehand. Although they are comfortable, they do not hold up. The leather is cracked, the steel toe is wearing through the leather, and the rubber sole is cracked and shows signs of wear I normally see after a year. Never have a owned such a poor quality boot at this price. I do not recommend this boot to anyone for anything. Timberland boots sure have went downhill, do yourself a favor and pass these up and buy Chippewa, Oakleys or Wolverine boots.
I am not sure where these negative reviews come from unless they are the competition. I have been wearing Timberland’s for about 11 years… my first 2 pair LASTED 8+ years. My current pair are almost 2 years old and show no signs of wearing out (although I did break 1 lace and need replacement laces). Only problem that I have with Timberland is that they discontinued the shoes I loved so much and I had to look for replacements. I was not too optimistic with these at first but they are still the same great quality that I was accustomed to with my previous 2 pair. I also ride a motorcycle and these have gone thru rough wear as a rider.
I have had these boots less than eight months and I have had issue in the past month with the “Water Proof” boot leaking at the seam of the rubber and the leather. These are way to expensive to be leaking and causing my feet to be wet and sore. I am DISAPPOINTED to say the least.
Outside covering wear is good these would last longer if wearer can rotate daily use of a pair of boots . Insoles wear is terrible. I have 3 pair that the outside of boot has lasted cause i rotate boots daily. Insoles replaced every 2 months.12 hour days walking and standing.
I work in an automotive shop standing on a concrete all day. These boots are comfortable. They are oil and slip resistant. I really like the abrasion resistant ever-guard leather in the high wear areas. I decided to buy these boots instead of a cheaper quality boot. I’m definitely satisfied with the purchase.
