Featured Review: (by Dan), I purchased an early cousin of this shoe back in 1997, and have just finished restoring and waterproofing the leather for the third time. Also repaired the sole with shoe-goo, as the clear plastic insert located in front of the heal, had cracked apart allowing for water and moisture to enter into the sole. Fyi, not conditioning then waterproofing the leather, or not sealing the sole’s seam, or filling cracks in the sole, or not super-gluing threaded leather seams, will allow water penetration. Long-term exposure to moisture will eventually weaken chemical bonds and lead to the detrioration of leather material and threaded seams. New or old, this will cause the sole to separate or the boot’s construction to essential fail. This boot isn’t expensive because its “maintenance-free”. It and others like it, are expensive because of their construction and the quality of the materials. If maintained properly, this and any quality leather boot can last a very long time. If you live in a dry climate year round or seasonally, condition the leather more often, even if the leather looks “healthy”. If you live in a region which is humid year round or seasonally, store this leather boot in a climate controlled environment and not in your garage or damp basement. This boot is constructed well and the leather is thick, offering good stability and protection for heavy hiking conditions. The toe is soft so this should only be used for light working conditions.

I spent a lot of time looking for the right work boot. I wanted a boot that offered good protection, was comfortable to wear and didn’t feel too heavy. I found these boots comfortable from the start, right out of the box, and they’ve only gotten better. After a long day on my feet, my legs don’t feel tired. I wasn’t sure about the lace-to-toe feature, but after using the boots, I like the flexibility and adjustment it offers. I had some concern about the soles splitting, or coming loose as I read in other reviews on other Timberland boots. I spoke to their customer service who assured me that they had identified and fixed the problem and would stand behind their product. I’m more than pleased with my choice.

When I first bought these boots they were the most comfortable and nicest boots I have bought for [$]. This was until I wore them for a summer of work down at the shipyard and a semester of welding school. After about 3 months the rubber soles started to wear out and I could see the soft foam start to show through. This foam is what made them so light and comfortable but when i got back to school in PA and the snow came if i walked through a puddle of slush my feet would get wet. When i flipped my boot around and looked at the sole it had cracked about half way across the boot and all the way into the boot. So I went and bought another pair and once again it happened. And a third time this year. I cant express how disappointed i am because they are the most comfortable boot while they lasted. After 3 pairs and [$] I am going to buy a different brand this weekend.

I work outside and wear boots everyday for work. I needed a new pair of boots and looked into what would be the best for me. I decided on the Men’s Timberland PRO TiTAN Lace-to-Toe would be the best for me. I really felt the boot was comfortable. My main concern is the sole of the boot. The sole is splitting and also wearing down extremely fast. I only have had these boots for 6 months, 6 MONTHS for the money I paid for these boots I feel that these boots should have lasted much longer then that. I am very unhappy with this brand, I cant say I would ever buy, or recommend this boot to anyone I work with at the Myrtle Beach Airport. I feel that I should be recieve a refund and/or a new pair. This is very disappointing with the Timberland brand.

I found these boots by accident, I wore wolverines for years but now I’ve been wearing the lace-to-toes for 3 years and wish I had found them sooner. Out of the box they are comfortable and ready for work. I’ve been in construction for 14 years and these boots have what it takes for long days on the job. they wear well and get more comfortable the longer you own them. Picked up a new pair this weekend, can’t wait for monday.

I thought these were going to be great boots but i was wrong. the right shoe right in the middle split just over 3 months of use. i have to constantly have to tighten up my shoes for some reason, never had that problem before. they are comfortable and light weight, but if u stand on a ladder for awhile or stand still for awhile they are not comfortable. i will never buy timberland or timberland pro shoes again after this purchase.

Best pair of boots I have owned! Very comfortable. I wear these for work, but will often wear them in my casual clothes. Only fault, during winter, not warm. But, I beleive that the boots were more designed to allow your feet to breath. They were great when the weather was warm/hot. On the site today to look for similar style, but insulated. Very comfortable & light from the first lace up ! When I arrived home I laced them up tighter than normal which you don’t do with new leather. The boots did not bind the ankle area at all! The boots breathe well also, bottom line your Power Fit Comfort System is a winner!!! Thank You & have a great Day! P.S. The padded tongue is awesome!
