Featured Review: (by dirk1843), My company recently required steel-toes. I have been wearing wellington type boots for several years, and western style before that. I had just broken in a pair of the competitor boot, when found out we had to get steels. I looked and looked for something I liked, and hated everything I tried on. The biggest problem was the steel toe wasn’t high enough inside. I had given up on finding anything I liked, when the saleslady offered up these. It was the first pair of shoes or boots I have ever put on that I knew was leaving with me right then. They are light, break-in was VERY quick, and the width is perfect. The only thing I wonder is how the soles will last. Wear looks good so far, about a month, but they don’t have the really deep tread that I am used to.

  1. Dan says:

Tough boot, but the construction makes it unforgiving. I’ve been wearing them awhile and don’t think any break-in is going to happen. The width is a little tight but not uncomfortable for the day, and the steel toe causes the leather to flex right into the top of your foot when walking – nothing terrible but not too comfortable for long distances. You know you’re wearing them, but your feet will be protected, warm and dry.

I need a boot that is as tough as the conditions I have to work in. This boot is it. Very good quality. Downside is the steel toe is too narrow for my foot. For now it is worth the discomfort to have a boot this rugged until they make wider sizes or no steel toe so the leather will stretch.
