This boot is a real darling. It keeps my feet dry and comfy over long days walk and on rough trials. It is my best companion when I walk for hours. My feet can’t feel comfy in any other boot the way they do in this marvelous boot. Its upper is water proof so I can easily walk anywhere I want to. It helps me to walk stably. This boot is very durable, I have it for the last 2 years and still I just wipe them with cloth and they look like the new. I love its design as well. Laces don’t only look nice, but also provides a fine fit. My only concern is, it doesn’t deliver a feminine look, but otherwise its a very good boot.
I work at a marble factory in Canada and I bought these shoes because of my work conditions. Since we have to deal there with heavy rocks and a lot of wet surfaces, these are ideal shoes for such conditions. I have 3 keen pairs and all of them are just amazing. The protection for the toe, traction of sole, comfort and support to the arch makes it a superb piece of engineering. I know these shoes are designed for the hiking or jungle walking, but for me these are perfect work shoes. I am confident to say that if you are looking for comfort and durability with excellent protection, this shoe is what you’ll need. Many of my colleagues wear Keen due to our work requirement. I have the bison color for this style and I just love them. If you work at a place which has rough terrain, wet surface these are ideal boots for you. I am sure these will be perfect for hiking or trails purpose as well because if they can withstand the punishment of my work place, jungle terrain will be piece of cake for them.
Having owned many high end hiking boots, the Keen Pyreness. I find to be about my favorite. I have a wide fore foot with narrow heals and the fit is perfect. Stability is great around the ankles and the soles are not too stiff. I use these boots as a carpenter most everyday. I need great support and comfort as I had my feet for almost 60 years now. These boots breath decent, have excellent waterproofing and a real joy for general wear. The tongue took some time to break in and at first hurt the top portion of my foot but several days latter they were fine. They may be on the light side for real rough bushwacking or heavy loads but I do recommend them as an all around hiking boot that is very light with great support and good cushioning. The fit is on the short side but not like the targees.
